Merry Christmas 2010 @ KL Times Square

I woke up at around 7:45a.m. this morning because I need to go to my uncle's house by 9:30a.m.. I quickly took a bath because the sky looked dark! However, it didn't rain and thus I departed at 9:00a.m. sharp! I speed along the way as the road was so 'empty'! I couldn't believe that it took me 30 minutes to reach my uncle's house even by speeding! When I reached there, my eldest auntie whose birthday is today, same as my youngest sister still didn't arrive yet. We called them at 10:00a.m.. Finally, we managed to have our breakfast at 10:10a.m..

When we finished our breakfast, we went back to my uncle's house and watched movie. After that, my eldest auntie said they wanted to go shopping but before that, they would went back to my cousin's hostel to meet my other cousin. Okay, we didn't follow them but plan to meet them at Times Square later. What a sudden, they called us after leaving for 15 minutes stating that they were heading to Times Square.

Alright, we departed thereafter, but we managed to reach Times Square first. We just could meet them after hanging around for 30 minutes. How slow they were! I bought a shirt over there but wait, should I call it a shirt? This is because it is a combination of shirt and jacket! Whatever it is, it cost me RM49.90. I tried to use my newly-applied ATM cum Visa Debit Card to pay but the owner said his machine couldn't detect my card and asked me to give him another card. I had no choice, but to give him my Debit MarterCard Card.

We shopped for 5 hours, hehe... However, I didn't see my cousin (my eldest auntie's youngest daughter) bought any thing but she did pick and choose the items over there. This is one of the reasons why I hate shopping with girls. To me, this is just a waste of effort and time! 5 hours without any thing to purchase, I really 'salute' her. Later, my eldest auntie's second daughter met us with her husband and newly-born child. This was my first time to see my nephew.

Then we went back to my uncle's house and have a noodle cooked by my auntie. Then, I went back to my hostel. Before that, I refilled petrol at a Shell petrol station nearby. I tried to use my ATM + Visa Debit Card again since the staff of Public Bank said I can use the card without loading any credit to the Visa account as it is linked to my saving account. This time, it worked.

Christmas tree, hohoho... Cosmic Christmas is this year's theme.

This was the largest Christmas tree I could ever find in Times Square.

If these were the real men, how dangerous it is?

Haiz, wait for the girls shopping until exhausted, then sleep for a while. The first one was taken by myself and the second one was taken by my cousin. Which one is better?

Reference

Yo, I had finished my effort in searching for people to be my reference in resume today. I found Ms Tai as my reference last Friday and asked Mr Lee to be my reference today.

Ms Tai initially questioned me. She said:"I don't know you for long, it's just about two months, how could I sure that you are the one who is able to work, willing to work and your attitude?". I just replied:"See it through your eyes.". She then further asked me to say that I can do it in order to be my reference. I said:" Action speaks louder than word. There is no point for me to just say it but don't do it. If you think I can, then I can.". However, she insisted me to say it out, then I assured her that I will. She gave me her handphone number which most of the lecturers won't give as they are scared of annoyance from students, especially few days before examination. Nonetheless, I assured her that I won't call her before examination, if I do it, then she can fail me straight away. She then further added a clause to me, which was I have to do at least two pass-year questions a day. This one I couldn't agree her absolutely but I promised that I would try after finishing input those necessary information.

Today, I invited Mr Lee as my reference in his staff room before asking him some questions regarding the syllabus. As usual, he was reluctant to give me his handphone number due to the same reason. Nevertheless, I pointed Ms Tai's one to him in order to assure him that I am the one who worth trusted. Once again, I told him that he can fail me straight away in case I call him before examination. He smiled and agreed.

I feel that both my lecturers treat me so well. I think, I am the only one who can get the real handphone number from them. This is because I have seen some students asking them to be their reference too but they just provide college mail and college phone number to them. Therefore, I can consider myself as a lucky boy! I really appreciate it, thanks a lot, my dedicated lecturers. I promise you that I will try my best in the final examination.

After finishing my lunch with Wai Hon, I headed to Public Bank near my hostel to buy the ACCA bank draft because tomorrow is the submission date. Nonetheless, I was disappointed once again because there was no stock available. Then I decided to buy it from MayBank, but I needed to withdraw cash. Here was the problem as my ATM card couldn't be used in other ATM machines other than my college's ones. Are you feeling weird about this? Please do believe me, this is the truth!

It's okay, it's still young, I rode my motorcycle down to the city, hoping to find other Public Banks but I failed to find one. The circumstance turned bad when I reached near Dataran Merdeka there as it started to rain. However, it stopped just after 5 minutes. It really played a fool at me! Unexpectedly, I rode to Sri Petaling(大城堡), I recalled that there is a Public Bank opposite The Store as I had seen my cousin-in-law clearing his bills at the deposit machine.

Nonetheless, it is under renovation. I started to relinquish but try to buy the bank draft from other banks, such as Affin Bank, CIMB Bank, Bank Rakyat and so on. Nevertheless, my withdrawals of money were rejected by all the banks' ATM machines. What the heck! I began to worry as tomorrow is the due date. I called my cousin for help. I asked him that where can I find another Public Bank nearby. He said he can help me to buy one as there are banks available in KLIA.

I continued my way to the under-renovating Public Bank because I think it's impossible to retrench a branch's operation in a sudden. Out of my expectation, the banking hall is operating in the first floor. I entered into the banking hall and asked for UK bank draft's form and eventually purchased the bank draft! Of course, I stopped my cousin from buying me the bank draft before that. Before I went back, I pressed the button of customer service as I was really fed up with my ATM card. I wanted to change it. Even though there were no pretty staff over there but their service was better than those near my hostel's ones. They always smile and talk nicely and gently. I love their service and attitude. Thereupon, I own two debit cards now. One is Public Bank MasterCard Debit Card while the other one is Public Bank Visa Debit Card + ATM Card.

Internal Security Act 1960

Yo, before I start the topic today, I would like to announce a bad news. I can guarantee that I will have to work hard now because I can foresee the difficulty to score my Financial Management due to low course work marks. Mr Lee said that no marks will be awarded for the calculation parts in our assignment for those who didn't provide the entity's financial statements as attachment. I guess, my group's 'leader' didn't do so. Therefore, it is a harsh challenge again but I will fight till the end.

Alright, back to our topic today. After the Financial Management's lecture, I went to library as usual. Wow, so hardworking? Haha, you're wrong. I didn't go there to study but to sleep. However, I picked a law book to read today, it was 'General Law to Malaysia'. I am quite interested in law books after searching for the compensation to employee due to closing down of business in Employment Act and Labour Law, as you know, I needed this information to ensure that my dad was not unfairly treated.

As I flipped through the content, I found an interesting section, which was Internal Security Act 1960 (hereinafter called I.S.A.). This is because I.S.A. is the most common law used by the government to counter other politicians. Unfortunately, I just managed to read up to four pages due to time constraint. It doesn't matter, I disclose what the interesting part that I discovered here first.

I found that two definitions were so amusing. 'Fire-arm' means any lethal barrelled weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged or which can be adapted for the discharge of any such shot, bullet or other missile and any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other things, and includes any component parts of any such weapon as aforesaid.

I am wondering and doubt that whether males' 'weapon' is considered as fire-arm? This is because our weapon is barrelled in shaped and 'bullets' can be discharged. For those who pretend not to understand what I am talking here, I hereby clarify my sentence, the 'weapon' as mentioned here refers to penis whereas the 'bullets' refers to sperms. Nonetheless, the 'weapon' here creates life indeed, haha...

The second definition was 'Terrorist' which means any person who-
(a) by the use of any fire-arm, explosive or ammunition acts in a manner prejudicial to the public safety or to the maintenance of public order or incites to violence or counsels disobedience to the law or to any lawful order;
(b) carries or has in his possession or under his control any fire-arm, ammunition or explosive without lawful authority therefor; or
(c) demands, collects or receives any supplies for the use of any person who intends or is about to act, or has recently acted, in a manner prejudicial to public safety or the maintenance of public order.

Therefore, in this case here, I am wondering and doubt that whether we will be prosecuted under I.S.A. if we own fire-crackers as fireworks are considered as explosive ammunition. If that is the case, this coming Chinese New Year will be extremely boring. But wait, how about the fireworks that government plays every new year? Are they considered as terrorist as well? Hmm, so controversial!

Furthermore, I noticed that if we are joining a demonstration in public place, whether we are wearing the stated colour of cloth, which in the Minister's discretion that it dangers the public, we will be sentenced a fine of RM2000 or one-year imprisonment or both. If we are the leader of the demonstration, we will be prosecuted with a penalty of RM10000 or five-year imprisonment or both. Does it mean that if the demonstration is not held in public place, we are safe? Note that the public place here refers to those places which the public has the freedom to go to whether payment is made or not.

Haha, sometimes it's quite interesting and important to know some laws. We must know our rights and defend them. Talk to you soon. Bye.

KLIA Trip

Yo, yesterday I went to KLIA for the first time. Initially, I didn't decide to go but suddenly I had this kind of desire. Yesterday, after our Financial Management's tutorial, it was raining. However, after our lunch, it stopped. Then I suddenly wanted to go to KLIA because my cousin is over there to sell shoes and bags.

I quickly went back to my hostel because I needed to solarise our clothes and carried out my duty, which was cleaning our house. After I finished all these stuffs, it was 2p.m. over, then I departed. Initially, I thought it was quite simple to be there but I couldn't see any road sign to KLIA nearby. Therefore, I called my cousin in order to get the direction. He prohibited me from going there as it was raining like cats and dogs over there, further, it was a long journey to be there. Nonetheless, I insisted to go as I already went out, there was no point for me to reverse back. He told me that I should follow the road to Seremban, then I would see road sign to KLIA.

Since I tried new road, thus it took me quite a lot of time in order to be in the right way. I went to Dataran Merdeka, 茨厂街, KL Sentral, then to Mid Valley and KLIA. Luckily got this experience, then I got to know that 茨厂街 is in Petaling Street and KL Sentral is in Jalan Tun Sambathan besides Bangsar. It was a long-hour journey. I took around one and a half hour to be there because even the buses on the highway were faster than my motorcycle. There were plenty of tolls, luckily they didn't charge motorcyclist. When I reached LCC Terminal, which is the terminal for AirAsia, I called my cousin to confirm my direction, he asked me to move further instead of turning left to LCC Terminal by following the way to Terminal.

I parked my motorcycle at the parking lots provided by a hotel over there. Then I moved to meet my cousin, he said he was at the 5th floor of KLIA's departure section. However, I couldn't find him since he was watching the aeroplanes at viewing area (Anjung Tinjau). When I found him, I saw he was with his girlfriend. Haha, they came to work together. When I reached there, I just had one word to describe my feeling, 'disappointed'. Why I said so? This is because KLIA is one of the top airports in the world and it is expected to have a useful life of at least 50 years, according to our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir. It is no doubts that it has a magnificent outlook, but inner part is quite disappointed. I don't mean that it is ugly but its compound is too small.

Initially, I planned to buy some things in the duty-free or tax-free area but I was disappointed as I couldn't enter those areas unless I had a passport or was going to depart during that time. Sad! At the viewing area, I could see quite a variety of aeroplanes but mostly were MAS airplanes such as 737, 747 and 757. I had the opportunity to watch the operation of the airport. There were 5 channels or tunnels which connected to the aeroplanes whenever the aeroplanes park at the lane as a channel for the passengers to get into and off the airplanes. What made me so shocked was the tunnels were 'extendable'.

After that, we moved to my cousin's stalls. He is selling shoes and bags with the brand 'XES'. I had never heard of this brand before, did you? A belt and shirt were catching my eyes, however I just asked my cousin to reserve the belt for me as my mother had bought shirts for me. The belt cost me RM109.90 before 30% discount. They didn't allow me to pay with debit card unless the item that I purchased exceeded RM100. Thereupon, I asked my cousin to reserve it for me as he might be getting extra discount for me, hehe... On my way to take my motorcycle, I noticed that the escalators are so high-tech. There are 2 scanners each located at the beginning and end parts of the escalators. It will run the escalator if it scans that there is people passing by and stop the escalator when there is no people using the escalator.

Then I went back to KL. Before I went back to my hostel, I went to buy 麻辣板面 from my cousin's god mother as her 板面 is the best in KL so far. The journey was so long that I needed to fill my petrol twice. Haiz, but this was cheaper as compared with going by bus which would cost me RM10 per trip. Nevertheless, it was extremely dangerous going there by motorcycle. This was my first time using highway to go to a far place. I lapped and tried to maximise my motorcycle's efficiency and speed. I noticed that, the maximum speed which my motorcycle can reach is 120km/hr. Maybe the road is stiff for some distances and not steady, otherwise it can speed up to 130km/hr at least since the maximum speed shown on my meter is 140km/hr.

These are the photos taken at Dataran Merdeka.

This is the Ministry of Information and Communication, located opposite to Dataran Merdeka.

This is the entrance if you enter into KLIA from Pan Pacific Hotel.

Check-in counters.

This is the toilet bowl. This was my first time seeing a rectangular toilet bowl. It has a sensor which will flush the bowl on its own after you used it. Do you notice the cigarette in the bowl? It's not mine. What I want to say here is the water is flushed too softly until the cigarette remains in the bowl, haiz...

This is 757.

This is the place to drop and get passengers. Can you see the channels and tunnels?

Apparently, the handle has to be pushed down before you can move your trolley.

It is quite disappointed that we can't see the aeroplanes flying and landing at the viewing area. :(

Finally 2

Yoohoo, finally it's time to come to an end. I mean my Audit's AXP assignment. For your information, this is the most difficult assignment I have ever encountered so far. That's why I didn't update my blog on time, sorry about that.

Eventually, my group had done what we need to complete with the software, now we're just left with the files which I still need to finalise them by tomorrow. I'm glad that we can complete this assignment on time. Of course, I would like to thank those lending me their hand when I encountered problems in doing this assignment. I really appreciate it and thanks a lot. I surely can't finish this assignment on time without your help.

So, what were my difficulties in doing this assignment? Haha, I already told our lecturer that we know well about the theory part for Audit, but yet, we have problems in doing this assignment. She was also so shocked and curious. I told her that we know what task are we going to do next but we don't know how to carry out the task. This is because we are lack of Audit experience and we don't know how to extract the useful information.

For your information, we are provided a lot of documents, just that we don't know which documents should we refer to in order to finish a particular task. Furthermore, we were taught to generate report, audit working paper and so on but without telling us the purpose behind that documents and information that it is expected in those reports. These are the problems.

It's okay, my group had finished at least 90% of it, just that I'm not satisfied with it but I understand that we had tried our best. Thereupon, no matter how many marks we are rewarded, we'll accept it.

A Bad Day

I was so unlucky today. It's too bad to me. I got to know that I had some problems with the Financial Management's assignment due to the evaluation of my group members and my mum just told me a nightmare.

Today is the day that we ought to submit our group members' appraisal form. My friend told me that he glanced at my other group members' appraisal forms very quickly and indicated that I might be valued as 50% effort being contributed on this assignment! It's so 'bullshit'! Among my group members, I was the one who asked Sir about the assignment the most! I was the one who found the most information required! I was the one who submitted my assigned task on time! In fact, I should be the one who value them as 50% contribution! Luckily, someone is willing to help me as he is the one who knows my effort throughout this assignment's process.

Next, I just finished a video call with my family via Skype. My mum told me a bad news that my dad might be losing his job next year. For your information, my dad is a goldsmith. You may be curious why this will happen to my dad since the gold's price is so high nowadays. The problem is nobody wants to buy the gold due to its high price. His employer focuses his business at Arab's market. Nowadays, the Arabians don't place any order with them due to the slow moving stocks. Therefore, my dad is doing nothing at his workplace. This is why his employer plans to terminate the business since he still has construction business.

My mum asked me about labour law as she is worried that the compensation given by my dad's employer may not be sufficient or inappropriate! However, I have no idea about labour law. What I had studied were business law and company's act.

What should I do now? I just know that I have to spend wisely. I have to cut down my living cost as much as possible. Maybe I will need a part-time job to sustain my life. Nonetheless, what should my dad do instead? For your information, my dad just possesses the skills as a goldsmith. Ah, he still knows the skills of making coffee. Thereupon, I suggested that my dad can operate a small coffee shop but my mum 'splashed' a cold water on me that they don't have capital as all the money they own has been invested on us.

What to do? I still need to continue my study. I can't help much. The only thing I can do is allowing them to cut my pocket money. Initially, I planned to accumulate my capital to invest in stock market through my internship's salaries but now it seems like it won't happen anymore. Why I want to invest in share market? It's so risky! Yes, it's risky but I managed to make an unrealised profit of RM13000 over within two months and around RM7000 recently due to the fluctuating price.

Due to the recent circumstance, I think I shall put it to an end. Let's face the truth. I am not a rich guy. Whatever thing I want to do, I should consider its cost first! Maybe I should apply the knowledge I have in Financial Management. I should be my own financial manager and manage my cash. Don't worry, dad, your son can handle his life himself. If you have any financial difficulties, just stop his pocket money whenever you like, he can find his own way to survive.

Today is my idol, Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin's birthday. First of all, happy birthday to you. Wish you have a stable life and a firm relationship! I do hope that I can borrow some luck from you. Hopefully whatever problems that strike my family and me can be eliminated and overcome as soon as possible.

Other than Charlene's birthday, as you can see here, whatever problems that I encountered, there sure be a silver lightning behind the grey clouds! Hopefully my family can get through these challenges and safe from whatever troubles, at least until my graduation as I will start to make money upon my graduation. Please, God and my god father, I beg you!

Friend or Fiend

First of all, I want to clarify that I don't intend to copy your title, aL. Few days ago, I saw aL wrote this title and I found it quite interesting as the difference between 'friend' and 'fiend' is the 'r'. Initially, I thought that was a mistake but I realised that I was wrong after checking through the dictionary.

Then, why I choose to use this as my blog title this week? This is because I encountered this kind of problem recently. It's very recent, it's just few days ago, right after aL published his post. Someone betrayed me. As usual, I won't disclose his or her name here. I had never thought that he/she would betray me but this was the truth! He/she is not only betraying me but 'throwing' knife on my back!

He/she did a serious mistake and it ended up I lost my study mood. It's so terrible. I treated him/her as friend but the reality told me that I was wrong, he/she is a fiend! He/she is really fake. Maybe he/she still doesn't know what has happened, he/she still can smile to me. I want to vomit! You're so fake! I hate fakers!

If you want to tell her, then tell her at the right time and please don't twist my meaning! Sometimes, you have to differentiate whether it's a joke or serious matter! Once you betray me, I won't trust you anymore! Therefore, you better leave me far away but this is impossible in these two years as we're classmate. Don't you realise that you are just making the thing worse! You tell her at the wrong timing!

For your information, I have been betrayed thrice in Kuala Lumpur! The first time was in semester 1 and twice for this semester! Betrayed by three different persons. So, you can imagine how dangerous you are when you are in Kuala Lumpur. You don't know when they will take action. The only solution is try to perfect yourself so that you are invincible.

Anyway, I know it was my fault! I too trust others around me. I should have understood that I must beware of people around me in Kuala Lumpur! It is seldom to have a real friend here. I should know how to protect myself. Thereupon, from now onwards, I will listen more and speak less.

Heavy Workload

Yo, I just completed my Financial Management's test yesterday. Initially I overlooked this test as I was able to answer the tutorial questions and the answers seemed like a common sense to me. However, when I revised the previous chapters, oh my God, I forgot what I had memorised previously. Nonetheless, I was quite confident as I had gone through all the lecture notes.

Okay, when it was time for the test, I started to panic. This was because I couldn't figure out all the related ratios. What I mean is I know the formulae for the ratios when the ratios are stated but not just give us the ratio category. I spent quite a lot of time in tackling these questions. Nevertheless, when I looked back the questions at home, I realised that I had let 12 marks gone.

Frankly speaking, this paper was not as tough as I expected, but it was difficult due to the time constraint. If we were given 2 hours to complete it, I think it should not be a problem. Sir, hopefully you set the questions which can be completed within the time frame. I mean including the time for us to think for the answers. For your information, we have so many subjects to study this semester and every subject also tests our memorising power. Thereupon, please do pity us.

Alright, now the Financial Management's test had passed. It's time to finish the Financial Management's assignment. From what the students ask Mr Lee about the assignment, I can feel how difficult the assignment is. However, my new group members do not intend to start the project until next Monday. I asked them to start early before but they told me that do we need to start the assignment so early given that the deadline is next Friday. Wow, that's 'marvelous'! Last-minute work? I hate it! Forget about it, I'm not the leader! I asked Sir that can I do the assignment individually but he refused because this is a group assignment. Then I followed up with two persons in a group as this is a team work as well. Finally, he agreed. Now, the problem is how can I tell my new group members about this? They're surely fed up with me.

Then, a fortnight later, we will have Financial Reporting's second test! Last semester, I still can handle this subject but not this semester due to Audit which I need to pay more effort on it. What terrifies me is I have forgotten what were covered last semester, which means that I have to start from the beginning. Hopefully it does not harm me badly!

The week after this will be the time for us to submit our Audit assignment! Ah, it's so tight! I hope that you don't think that after this I will be free. This is because it's 11th week after all these, it's time for us to do preparation for our final examinations and it's time for us to chase back all those chapters which we have sacrificed to do all those stuffs as mentioned above.

Let's hope for the best!

Kuala Kangsar Trip

First World Indoor Theme Park走走。

Sohai

Yo, I cut my hair for the first time in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. I went Carrefour yesterday and I found that there was a barber lot downstairs. Lot? Why? Haha, this is because it is just a small lot which occupies two seats for the customers. They offer a reasonable price. It just cost me RM13.

I went to Carrefour to claim a cup for Lucas. Then, I took this opportunity to cut my hair since I wanted to cut my hair for a long time already. The handsome guy cut my hair while chatting with me. He talked a lot to me, maybe he wanted to get close to me or preventing me from being bored.

He said he wanted to stay outside like me. He told me that he had not been Penang after knowing I am from Penang. He heard his friends said that the Penang's night life is indifferent from Kuala Lumpur. I reassured him provided he knew where to go. As a barber, he really talked too much already. I would rather hope him paying more attention on his work. Lolz. Maybe this was the first time he cut my hair, he over-cut my front hair, making me seemed so 'sohai'!

Actually, my hairstyle is quite acceptable if I spray them up but I can't do this as I need to wear helmet. Haiz... No choice, I have to wear a cap to college starting from next Monday until my hair grows back. I will bring along my polarized sunglasses to college as well since it is my turn to present the Financial Management tutorial's answers. Huh? Why I want to wear sunglasses? This is because I don't want to get astigmatism in this age. Haha...
Sohai look><
