Family Teoh 3

Neighbour

This morning, my neighbour who lives in the same floor with my family came to my house in order to teach my grandma cooking curry. My grandma likes the fragrance of her curry, therefore she invited her to teach her, if I'm not mistaken, it was yesterday.

They were busy preparing and cooking in the kitchen while I was playing poker in the living room. She came with her daughter. Wow, her daughter was so tall. I had never thought that they weren't Bangladesh until today. She told my grandma that they are Sikhs. Oh my God, now I know, I was wrong!

Thus, what is the difference between Chinese curry and Sikh curry? I just feel that the Sikh curry is not as delicious as Chinese one. Maybe I am a Chinese or I have used to the flavour that my grandma cooks. By the way, thanks for teaching my grandma, perhaps my grandma will think of a way to have a 'Chinese and Sikh' fusion.

Before I forget, one of the strengths of my neighbour is she is proficient in Hokkien. This is why she can communicate with all of us.

Dream

Last night, I was awaken in the midnight! This was due to a nightmare I had.

Initially, I was quite happy since I dreamed my Luckygirl for the second time. However, things went worse as the dream was going on. She was in trouble in my dream. Certainly, I stepped out to help her but I noticed that I couldn't help her much!

Actually, this was a weird dream. I didn't know why I could have this kind of dream. She was punished by a lecturer and I almost beat the lecturer up. This was a short dream and hence the story didn't interesting but what I want to mention here is I feel that I'm not the suitable guy to her. She doesn't need me.

In fact, in reality, she acts like that as well. So much ambiguous implies from her. Sometimes we are as close as good friend but sometimes we are as lose as a mere friend. I don't want this. What I want is a firm relationship, at least give me a guarantee, in Chinese we call “安全感”. I don't know why I can't have this feel. Of course, same as Princess's case, I don't want to force her. Maybe she will change her mind if she knows what I think and feel.

Up to this moment, I don't desire a fascinating and romantic relationship or love as I know, I can't afford to achieve this due to my poor financial management. I just want a 'puppy love' which doesn't cost us much. I won't demand for a date often or everyday. Of course, dating is inevitable but it won't be come out from my mouth during study week or when we are busy. To me, this is just a simple love. We can still take good care of our study. Hopefully she understands me.

Green Box

Yo, yesterday I committed my first Green Box's experience in Kuala Lumpur. This was because my class wanted to celebrate birthday with one of our classmates, Su Ling (hopefully I don't write your name wrongly).

After our AXP practical training, it was already 12.00 p.m., we went there by Metro bus. Before that, I parked my motorcycle in front of Genting Klang Public Bank as I wanted to withdrew money, however I failed to withdraw the money even though I had been trying thrice. I even couldn't withdraw the money after rubbing the chip for times. Haiz, why my transactions over there always fail even if I can do it with my college's ATM machine?

One thing different as compared with my Red Box's experience in Penang was my new classmates are proficient in English songs. So, what are the variances between Penang Red Box and KL Green Box? Actually they are under the same company, but we can enjoy unlimited drinks and snacks here whereas the drinks and snacks in Penang are limited. I sang quite a number of songs and I almost lost my voice, haha...

Here are the pictures of the birthday star:

Before we left, a magician came in and asked me to do some magics with him. Of course, I was cheated by his illumination for the first time but I also learnt two magics from him. He didn't teach me but I could see his secret, haha... He didn't know that I am a magician too. The magician was quite good looking and young, almost same age with us. After he left, I filmed a new magic video clip:

When I parked my motorcycle in my hostel, I met Anthony. They said they wanted to buy dinner and I followed them without putting my bag and helmet in my hostel. Luckily I followed them, otherwise I couldn't meet my Luckygirl. They were having their dinner there. Suddenly, I heard a rumour and Lucas was the protagonist. I had never seen him walking so fast just to avoid meeting his rumoured target, haha...

Merdeka

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka! For those who don't understand what do these words mean, I am here to explain to you that they mean 'independence'. For your information, my country, Malaysia was having its 53th birthday yesterday.

I am so sorry that I just write about it on today because I was so tired and busy yesterday. The Independence Day this year was so special to me due to the following reasons:

First of all, this was my first time celebrating the Independence Day in Kuala Lumpur. Secondly, this year, the celebration was held in indoor, Stadium Putra. I was so curious that why they celebrated it in indoor and my uncle hinted me. He said 'puasa'. Then I realised that our Malays are 'puasa-ing'. That means, if the celebration was held in outdoor, then the Malays might faint due to the hot sun. Holding the celebration indoor might mean that there was no more airplane show. No wonder nowadays the sky was so 'lonely' and quiet.

On top of that, I was having conversation with my mom through mobile phone. I passed it to my uncle and he asked my mom to buy rice. Initially I was stunned because he then said in Cantonese '米跌价'. Finally, I could figure out what did he mean. Haha, this was his translation of Independence Day.

We watched the celebration via television. As usual, there were lots of songs and I found one of the songs was very interesting and meaningful. One of the lyrics sounded like this, 'satu bangsa satu negara'. It means 'one race one nation'. When I heard this, I was doubting its accuracy. On the contrary, I also hope that our country can achieve this one day but not today.

If one race and one nation are true, then why we still need to fill in our race in the application form? Why can't they abolish this part or just print the word 'Malaysian' over there? I really look forward to seeing this happen one day because this is my country, we must love each other without any discrimination between races. This is our country, we must work out together, we must share the wealth together and we must face or overcome the problems together.

Taxation 2

Hi, everybody. I am here to announce that I am died! I just did my last examination for this semester. Do you still remember that I promised my lecturer that I would try my best and score A for his paper? I want to tell you that I fail to do it.

Yesterday, I was still thinking and confident in beating this paper with five bullets. I was quite confident that I could score an A for this paper after the examination. However, I was stunned after my friends pointed out some of my mistakes. I lost 8 marks for sure. The first 4 marks were my own mistakes, I saw the question wrongly. The question asked for tax implication of employee but I was doing tax implication of employer. Gosh! The remaining 4 marks were I forgot to do 2 subquestions which had 2 marks each!

See, how careless I was! Now, in order to get an A for Taxation, I just have 5 bullets to defend myself. 5 bullets are not much as I am sure that question 1 and question 2 will have some mistakes. Other parts are uncertain since I didn't have enough time to check my answer even though it was a three-hour paper. I can't forgive myself for giving away silly marks.

I hate myself. Why didn't I look at the questions carefully?

Magic Series 2

These are the belated magic video clips:

Even though there were some improvements as compared with previous ones, but I still couldn't get the effect that I wanted. Hopefully I can do it better in the future.

Promise

Today is my last day of the first semester in TARc. I attended the last lecture, which was Taxation. You mostly will think that I was there because I wanted to get some tips from lecturer, won't you? However, I want to tell that you are wrong! This is my way to show my respect towards my lecturer, hence I won't simply change class or absent without any reason.

Before my Taxation's lecturer, Mr Michael Yeo ended the lecture, he told us a story about his late father. He also told us that he might or might not be teaching us Advanced Taxation. At that moment, my thinking was 'if you are not my Advanced Taxation's lecturer or tutor, I am not going to take this subject'. This is because I enjoy his way of teaching even there are plenty of tired jokes. Actually, as what my Financial Reporting's tutor, Ms Angeline Yap said, a successful lecturer is the one who can make his students from hating the subject to loving it. Thus, he is considered a successful lecturer since as you may know, I used to skip Basic Taxation's class or pay no attention during the class in Diploma. Now, I am interested in Tax even though I got low coursework marks.

As what I had predicted, I managed to get 65% of my coursework marks. That means, I need to get at least 87 marks in the final examination in order to get an A for this subject. At first, I was quite disappointed but after an incidence, I change my mind. Mr Michael prayed for us to the God before the lecture was dismissed. He asked the God to remember us, help us, bless us and etc. I was so touched and my tears almost went down. I talked to myself, I can't disappoint this dedicated lecturer. I must get an A for this subject. Even though 87 marks is considered high to me but I must try my best to achieve this. Yes, this is a MUST!

Nonetheless, according to my friend, there is a system in my college that it just will give 10% of the students to get an A. I don't believe him but I will do my part and try my best in the final examination. Hope for the best.

Magic Series

Yo, yesterday I performed a magic to my English's tutor, Mr Johnny. Here is the video clip for your enjoyment:

However, this magic was not performed well in the first time as my tutor misunderstood me. I asked him to think of a number between 9 and 20, which meant the number excluded 9 and 20, but he somehow chose 20. That was the reason why I failed to show this magic in the first time. Here is the failed video clip:

Hopefully all of you enjoy it and I promise that more magic video clips to come in the future. Oh ya, don't blame my camera man as this was his first time to film video, he couldn't get the best angle and the screen were upside down. Haiz... Promise will make improvements in the future clips. Please feel free to leave comments as to the suggestions or improvements that are needed. Thanks.

Taxation

Oh my God! This morning, I got my individual Tax assignment. I just managed to get 14/20, which was equivalent to 70 marks. The first thinking I had after getting the marks was I really need to pay many hard work in my final examination. I still have group Tax assignment, whose marks will be made known to us on Thursday or Friday, if the same worst thing happens again, then it will be a hell to me.

I have counted, I assume that I just get 65% of my coursework, that means I still need to get at least 84.5 marks in my final examination in order to get an A. This time really 'Oh My God'! How can I get so high marks based on my current performance? I am left with no choice but to start studying right now. No procrastination is allowed! Yes, no procrastination is allowed to you, Recca!
