恭喜 4

Yesterday was the day for the release of UPSR results, my sister, my buddy's brother and my Luckygirl's sister were one of the candidates. Frankly speaking, I had forgotten this date. My dad was so nervous and excited to go to our primary school in order to know my sister's result during his lunch time.

He told me that my sister achieved full A's once he came back home. Well done, my sister. She is currently following my footsteps. Her next target will be PMR, hopefully it is still available that time (Education Ministry plans to abolish this mid-secondary examination). I hope I can be a motivator to her.

Actually, I stressed so many times to my sister that she ought to get excellent result in order to be recruited to Penang Chinese Girl High School (PCGHS), one of the most outstanding schools in Penang and even in Malaysia, at least, she must get a result qualify for this. This is because in my opinion, a good secondary school plays a vital role in our life. She will get good education and competitive yet motivating study environment which will then shape her future attitudes and characteristics.

Being enrolled in good school also ensures her future prospects as secondary study plays a pivotal role before entering into tertiary study. If a teenage wastes his/her time in secondary school, then he/she would be unlikely to excel in tertiary study. Quote a sentence from my dad, 'Education can change your life. You, at least, won't be living in hunger with education.' . If one fails in secondary, his life is almost ruined!

When my sister came back home, I straight away told her that the UPSR result was over, it just represented a great start in her study life, it would be meaning the minute afterwards. What I meant was she had to focus on the future instead of obsessing with her current achievement. There is indeed still a long way for her to go. I also told her that we would feel excited and enjoyable when we first got the result but it turned into a rubbish or a waste paper after that.

She is now starting to ask for presents. She wants a sophisticated handphone but I had restricted her budget. I just owned a good and normal racquet each and a bicycle. She don't deserve to earn better prize than me. It's not because I'm jealous of her prize's value but it's my style to train her for not becoming too materialistic. I want to instill a 节俭 trait to her.

Okay, once again, congratulation to her and hopefully she's ready to face the future challenge.
