Movement Control Order

The world is facing Covid-19 pandemic now. Initially Malaysia has no wish for a lockdown as the then prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir still announced that no prohibition for all foreigners to Malaysia and all Malaysians are free to go overseas as their wish. That time, fewer than 20 people was admitted due to this disease and none of them was Malay, they were Chinese, especially those came from China.

However, Malaysia starts to have local case after the religious gathering by Muslims in Kuala Lumpur. Since then, Tun Dr Mahathir stepped down by tendering a resign letter and new prime minister was appointed, Muhyiddin bin Haji Muhammad Yassin. Sorry that I'm not sure about his title, whether he is Tan Sri or whatever.

He officially announced that Malaysia will be under Lockdown period since 18th March 2020. But the movement control order was subsequently extended for a few times and it is now Recovery Movement Control Order till 31st August 2020.

During Movement Control Order, all Malaysians were prohibited from working and hence many businesses closed down their businesses. I think the bosses will only reopen or restart their business after the economy is recovering later to mitigate their loss. Malaysia government had promised to fund the bosses RM600 per employee as long as their salary didn't over about RM4,000 per month. Nevertheless, this was just one time measure instead of every month of Lockdown.

What did I do during this period of time? Super  Group (SG) founder, Mr Hoi did WhatsApped me. He encouraged me to enter the reading group organised by SG. I rejected him due to my eye's issue. Later, I went for blood donation as requested by Ms Boon. This was not my will as I thought I would be safer by not going to the public.

Well, I did read some books too. I had finished 'Awaken the Giant Within' and 'Re-Awaken the Giant Within' as well as 《激发无限潜能》by Anthony Robbins, 《人性的弱点》 and 《人性的优点》by Dale Carnegie and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' by Stephen R. Covey. Now I am reading 《语言的突破》by Dale Carnegie.

Are these important? Well, SG had encouraged us to read 'Awaken the Giant Within' and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' in these few years and a few reading groups were formed. Frankly speaking, I had done majority of these books before I met the road accident in 2018. Since I was scared of misinterpretation by the author in other languages, hence I had finished 'Awaken the Giant Within' and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' in English version. Hence, I was reading 'Awaken the Giant Within' in Chinese version this round, 《唤醒心中的巨人》.

Hence, if I consider 'Re-Awaken the Giant Within' as similar book as it is just a shorter version of 'Awaken the Giant Within', for this series of books, I had come across three times now and 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' twice. In my opinion, 'Awaken the Giant Within' is more suitable to those without any life goal or purpose.

《人性的弱点》 is better than 《人性的优点》 as it teaches us how to communicate with people with lots of examples given, however 《人性的优点》 just teaches us about the ways to overcome 犹豫.

Nonetheless, reading is better than doing nothing at home. From what we read , we rectify our action and mindset to be successful later.
