Time Management

I thought things will be different after Dr Wong took over the Advanced Financial Management's lectures and tutorials but it didn't change much. The only thing is that we no longer have night class. However, this is compromised with the class early in the morning.

Besides, Dr Wong specially establishes special classes and catch-up classes. I agree that these help us a lot but it also means that I have to attend additional 7 hours each week than normal students. These 7 hours are acceptable if and only if I just have two subjects in this semester but I have 4 subjects now. Two subjects particularly need us to do lots of assignments.

Frankly speaking, I have to start working whenever I open my eyes and I stop working only when it's time for me to bed. My friend, Vincent Pang likes to complain a lot on his schedule. I asked him to think of my condition whenever he wanted to complain. Nevertheless, I think everyone will agree that the time is too packed for us now. Therefore, we need a good time management, especially myself.

I try to create time. Yes, time is fair to everyone and it just gives each of us 24 hours a day. As what Dr Wong said, a human just needs 6 hours of sleep. She had tried not to sleep for 36 consecutive hours. She even said scientists sometimes just sleep for 1 hour or even don't sleep at all since they have to keep an eye on the results of their experiments.

I had tried not to sleep for one day before but the outcome was not good. Yes, I was still alive after that but I mean my work efficiency and effectiveness dropped dramatically. I couldn't stay focused and think logically. Hence, I protest badly those who sacrifice their sleep just to prepare for examinations.

I remember my primary school teacher asked me whether I would sleep or continue study if I hadn't finish my revision the day before examination. I answered him I would sleep because there was no point for me to study and sacrifice my sleep, then enter the exam venue with tiredness. I believed that I couldn't figure out what had I studied the night before. Ergo, I prefer to sleep early and use my imagination or memory to think of the answers. He didn't disagree with me as this was just my opinion. If I'm not mistaken, I was just 9 years old.

Then, how do I create time? I create time by finding extra slot for my business. Certainly, I had to sacrifice the things that I used to do before, for instance Facebook. It's better to complete what is important first. Hence, I will prioritise my work everyday, every week and even every month. Nonetheless, I have 9 tutorial questions for AFM next week. I'm just wondered whether I can finish it by tomorrow. For your information, the questions are not similar to Advanced Taxation which include complicated and simple questions, they are all ACCA past year questions and the former AFM's examiner was a nut. You can imagine how scary he was.

Hopefully my time management skill has improved and I can create more time to do the things I like, for example reading the books that I had bought with my 1 Malaysia Book Voucher.
