Actually, we were reluctant to receive as to us, the help was nothing. We help her out of our conscience and sincerity without hoping anything in return. As what I had mentioned before, I didn't simply help people unless I think it worths. The worth here doesn't refer to consideration in monetary or non-monetary terms but it's just a sense of feeling.
Like what Dr Wong hopes from us, the words of 'thank you' are more than enough. Since she insisted, then we just accepted the gift. We planned not to open it but Dr Wong wanted to know our comments and feedback. She wanted us to sms her at night. Alright, I opened it when I was home and sms her.
This is the token of appreciation from Dr Wong. The top one was snapped with flash light while the bottom one was taken without flash light. I quickly wrapped it back to the original state after taking the photos. Therefore, from now onwards, whenever I drink water, I will think of Dr Wong, her special class, her injured hands, her smile, her star fish's story, our aim, etc.. I would not forget what Dr Wong had done for us and that motivates me as well!
Alright, out of my expectation, I received the second token of appreciation on Thursday. The story unfolded in this way. In the morning, I heard she said she wanted to treat us a meal. Then I proceeded to tease her by saying:"After the lunch, we would like some Chatime, later we go Neway sing K until late midnight, then we eat supper together." She said I wanted to make her poor. Lolz, actually it was just a joke, I didn't mean it.
After my lunch with E.S.H., we headed to attend Moral dan Etika's tutorial. He received a call and hence we waited outside library. Suddenly, she really brought a cup of Chatime for me and E.S.H.. Initially, I didn't know why she did that, she said she wanted to thank me for helping her in 'make-good test'. She said she would remember it forever. Aiya, it was nothing, I was glad to help you so that we could graduate together.
I felt so warm after receiving the Chatime. Vincent Pang saw me drinking Chatime during Taxation's guest lecture. When he knew it was from a girl, he said no wonder I was so happy. I didn't say anything as I considered it as foolish.
Why I was so happy? It was because it let me think back of my past. During Diploma study, I used to have this kind of treatment, thanks to Yuri's contribution. For your information, we were one of the top students in Diploma and hence our friends and classmates invited us to study with them since they could ask us any questions in the study process.
Actually, I prefer self-study since I don't want to be interrupted. Ergo, Yuri was the one who answered them. I seldom answered them as I was not perfect before I finished my revision. Nonetheless, after the examination or when the examination's results came out, they would treat us a meal. I think, it happened for at least 3 semesters.
Thereupon, when I received the Chatime, I thought back of my Diploma's time. It was so sweet and enjoyable with them. Frankly speaking, I can't find these in my current class but luckily I find them in other class. Thanks to E.S.H. again for introducing me to his classmates.
My happiness and contention are not related to the tokens of appreciation but for the gratefulness and appreciation from the related parties. It means more than money and the gifts!
