TARc Mid-Autumn Festival 2011

My semester's results came out today. They were out of my expectation again, they were the worst results I had ever got! I got C+ for P1 Governance, Risk and Ethics, B for P2 Corporate Reporting and B+ for P3 Business Analysis. I scored the highest for the subject which I had the most confidence in whereas the lowest for the subject which was the most relaxing paper. Alright, C+ was my grade floor and I had experienced it for the first time, it's time for me to adjust my performance and back to my previous position.

During the P3 revision class, Mr Yeoh Cheng Hock was talking about examination technique. I have changed my examination technique after my secondary school, indeed it was more obvious during my Diploma study. Last time, I had a very strong and powerful memory power which I used to be proud of. However, I'm too lazy to memorise things and in fact, I have lost it!

After the P3 revision class, it was raining, therefore I went to Club House for TARc Mid-Autumn Festival 2011 with my friends, such as E.S.H., O.Y.J., Moon, O.G.X. and so on. If there was no raining, I wouldn't have gone there.

The decoration was quite good and there were plenty of female students wearing the ancient Chinese attires distributing tang longs to children below 12 years old. We chatted at the back of the hall. Moon, who was O.Y.J.'s girlfriend was having conflict with her classmates. This was not the first case I had heard and I had this conflict before. I shared my experience with her and hopefully it helped her.

Lo and behold, Ms Say asked us to go out of the club house in order to get our free food vouchers. The rain stopped that time. I was very sorry that I jumped queue and requested the vouchers from Dr Amy Yeo Chu May. Initially I called her 'miss' but she told me she wouldn't respond to me as long as I didn't call her properly. She was very concerned about her recognition. In my opinion, name is just a term or word for people to recognise ourselves but not for any acknowledgement. Since she liked it so much, I called her 'Dr Amy'. I teased her, I said I needed three because two for me (this is the rule) and one for this (I was pointing at my stomach indicating that I was pregnant). She just laughed.

We couldn't find a seat therefore I started to share table with a family. Initially there were just three kids and one of the kids, a little girl staring at me. I asked her how many seats did she reserve, she said five, then I found another 3 chairs for O.Y.J., Moon and me.

When their mom came, I could notice her but I didn't know her. From her conversation with O.Y.J., I knew that her husband was one of the lecturer of TARc. I had seen her husband before. She had lots of vouchers and shared some of the food with us. Thanks a lot.

She had three children, two boys and one girl. The boys were 13 years old and nine years old respectively while the little girl was just six years old. As usual, I tried to tease the children but it was effective on the girl only. I showed her some magics after my dinner and she was so exciting about them.

I taught her a rope magic and she learnt it quite fast. The girls next to our table even looked at her performance while she was practising. I showed two cards flourishes which I had just invented last week. Nevertheless, she could notice my secret move. Obviously, she had a pair of sharp eyes.

Around 8p.m., Mr Tan Vooi Giap, who was my P1 lecturer noticed me and waved his hand to me. We started to have a long yet enjoyable conversation. I pretended to be an ordinary student by asking him for reasons why I got such a low grade for P1. Was it related to my torn answer paper? He agreed with it. He also shared his past experience and history with us upon my request. I appreciated those a lot and I felt grateful. He even introduced us great Penang food in Kuala Lumpur such as those in Paramount, SS2 and so on.

He told us that he used to be one of the top paid accountants in Kuala Lumpur. He was better because he was top paid with 5 months of experience while the other one was having a five years of working experience in U.K..

He told us about the senior's story and feedback and the current top students in 2 AFA. Surprisingly, there were at least four out of ten of them from Penang Branch. I asked him the reasons why Penang's students seemed to be performing well as compared with Kuala Lumpur's students given that we were having the same lecture notes. He answered me that that was because Penang was lack of entertainment, that was why students tended to be more focused.

I don't agree with him as he seemed to have under-valued Penang. Penang also has a lot of nice places and entertainments. Just like what in my Diploma study, we used to be celebrating events or hanging out. Maybe he had not been Penang for quite some time.

Another reason was that some of the students were tired of the study after studying for so long, which was exactly what I'm experiencing now. I always feel that I'm not an ordinary person since I was still a child. Hence, I did do something which was not the routine work in daily life. Honestly speaking, I have sicked of the study life. Achieving a great result is no longer a motivation to me. I had that before for many times. I need something new to try. Thereupon, I'm trying new things now. Nonetheless, I do hope to end my study life high!

I'm very sorry that I have disappointed Mr Tan and Mr Chin whom I always 'disturb' him. I promise that I will make you all proud of me one day.

We left at around 9p.m. when Mr Tan was answering his call. We were regret not to say goodbye to him as he didn't notice us. Due to the rain, I was destined to meet Mr Tan, thus I really thanked you a lot, God of Rain.

Overbudget

Yup, I had over-budgeted this week. Firstly, I spent RM95 for reformatting my laptop which caused my system to corrupt and installing an anti-virus on Monday. I was so stupid that I didn't go to ASUS service centre which was located in front of the Plaza Imbi. If I went there for service, I might not need to spend such a high price.

Yesterday, I went to night market which was called 'pasar malam' locally at 康乐. This was the longest pasar malam in Kuala Lumpur. Certainly, there were lots of pretty girls but most of them were 中女、剩女. I bought a pair of shoes there which cost me another RM55 because the shoes that I'm currently wearing have broken. I sweated all the way as there was too crowded! It made me feeling that I was just having a sauna.

Today, I had just replaced my motorcycle's engine oil which cost me further RM17. Oh my God, I really had overspent this week but all these cost are inevitable. Hopefully there are no additional costs waiting for me so soon.

Talk to you, guys soon. See you.
