Old Town's Gathering

Yesterday, I went for coffee in Old Town Farlim with my buddy. Actually, we hiked on Monday with his brother and we decided to have it another round yesterday but it was raining.

This was our first time been there but it was the first time for my buddy to have a cup of coffee at Old Town. We chatted a lot, I thought it was about 2 hours. We shared our experience with each other and I like the study life in overseas very much.

One of our topics was 'is it very difficult to pass or graduate internally?'. I don't know, I think it is easy as long as u study as what Mr Tan said. However, my buddy told me that he couldn't get a positive answer from his relatives, meaning that they couldn't graduate. 

Maybe I'm subjective to say so because I've graduated. Nonetheless, I try to be objective, it is not a terribly tough task indeed. My neighbour always asked me how to be as successful as me. In my opinion, I'm not as successful as what she said but to her, I'm good. Alright, let's assume that I'm that great. I don't like people to simulate me because in my opinion, every person has different styles. 

For example, I could hang out on the day before examinations even though I hadn't finish my preparation but others might not do so. Hence, it's absurd to follow my way of study. My way of study doesn't guarantee will work on others as well. Thus, normally I would advise them to find the way that suits them the most. Of course, I'll share with them my way of study but that's just for their reference. 

To me, study is not difficult. You would pass as long as you study. The study that I mean here is not studying at last minute. I believe in what Dr Wong always proposed, consistent study. However, how many of us can do that? Neither me. Normally, I study one month or weeks before the examinations. 

My neighbour asked her children did that as well but they failed. Once again, I want to stress that not everyone can simulate my style. Definitely, my style is not the best yet and I'm not bragging here either. I can't control her from ordering her children following my way. But I would remind her, were her children studying with understanding? You certainly can't excel by studying without understanding. There's no free lunch in this world. Effort counts in everything. 

After this gathering, I don't know how long should we take to meet again. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. Let's hope for the best.
