Farewell

Well, today's topic is farewell. My sister went to Kuala Lumpur to pursue her advanced diploma study this morning.

I was awaken around six o' clock due to my dad's noise. Eventually, it was time for my sister to be independent. She took my laptop with her. A42J is my laptop's model. It accompanied me for two years and it still functions well even though it had undergone re-formatting process twice. Hopefully my sister'll take best care of it.

After my sister departed with her friend, my dad wanted to go to market. Unfortunately, he couldn't find his keys. Hence, he went downstairs to look for his motorcycle. It was gone! Yes, it was stolen! My dad used my motorcycle for his purpose.

Two policemen came to my house around nine o' clock in the morning. They informed us that they had found my dad's lost motorcycle and queried us for not making a report with the police. They even went to my dad's workplace to invite my dad to make a report after he got off his work.

An official called my dad's mobile phone which he seldom carried along. My mom answered, he wanted my dad to make a call to him before going to make a report. However, my dad didn't do that. He wanted me to accompany him to go to the Bandar Baru Police Station once he came back from work.

His motorcycle was parked in front of the main door. He made a report and one of the policewomen condemned my dad for not making a report immediately after noticing the lost of motorcycle. My dad had to work and since he was working half day today, he decided to make the report after he got off.

There was a man trying to talk to me and my dad. He told me that the thief was the son of the Permata' Swimming Pool boss. He was not there as he was out to buy something. Nonetheless, the policewoman who was taking my dad's confession stopped him and asked him to find us back after making the report.

Later, the official calling my mom this morning came. He met us in his office. He said we should call him before making the report since he wanted us to give a chance to the teenager. He revealed that the thief was a student from S.M.J.K.Chung Hwa. He is only 15 years old. He confessed that he stole my dad's motorcycle around 9p.m. last night and he was caught by the police at 5a.m. this morning.

The official initially wanted us to ignore the report since this could give the teenager a chance. Nevertheless, since a report had been made, then this would be known throughout Malaysia as the report was keyed in the system.

If my dad contact him initially, then the teenager would be charged under a section that he couldn't give a proper confession. Now, he had to be charged owning things that not belong to him, he would suffer at least eight-month imprisonment under this section. If he admits the offence of stealing, then he would face at least seven-year imprisonment.

Thus, the future of this teenager is ruined. He may not get a proper job even if he gets tertiary qualification. The official revealed that the teenager was living at 09-05-05, Permata. Thereupon, if something happens to us, you know who is the executor.

However, I still believe that there is miracle. My dad didn't intend to sue him. We're willing to give him a chance. Hopefully the miracle exists.

This was the first time I entered a police station. Luckily, the policemen and policewomen were nice. Greedy really harms people. The lesson learned today was 'Don't ever try to be greedy as it comes with a price'. We still couldn't redeem the motorcycle as according to the procedures, the police had to blacklist my dad's motorcycle, then we had to make a new report indicating that the lost motorcycle was found before getting the motorcycle. Certainly, this would only be the case if the case goes well. Otherwise, my dad had to give confession at the court. This would be troublesome.

Now, we just hope that the teenager would be okay and everything goes on well from now onwards. God bless.
