RON95 vs RON97

I still remembered that I recommended you to use RON97 given its power. Actually, this was not my point of view, I wrote the post 'RON95 or RON97?' because my dad told me the story from his friend. His friend recommended us to use RON97.

Today, I want to share with you what I experienced and experimented in these few days. I accidentally use RON97 on Tuesday. For your information, I always use my debit card to pay for the petrol. Hence, I only noticed that the counter didn't provide me RON95 but just RON97 and diesel. Certainly, I wouldn't use diesel for my motorcycle.

I was reluctant to change counter and hence I tried RON97. Actually, I tried RON97 before. It was long time ago. I used to use RON97 during my secondary school time. Alright, back to the topic. In terms of durability, I mean how many days will the petrol stand. Both types of petrol are the same, nothing much is different.

Therefore, I perceive them to be the same as I want a petrol that can last for long, so that I can save lots of money but RON97 disappointed me. The theory told by my dad's friend was not applicable! It couldn't last long, even with my self-designed 'fuel-saving strategy'!

However, I must admit that the power of RON97 is really good. I also believe that it help to protect your engine. Nevertheless, it is not economical to me as I just ride a motorcycle but not a Mercedes-Benz or BMW. Ergo, RON97 is not a necessity. Alright, here is the end.

My mom called me two days ago, she asked me when would I go back to Penang. My dad wanted me to fill the income tax return for him. I already passed the duty to my sister since I came to Kuala Lumpur but my sister couldn't handle it this time as my dad had no EA Form for the year of assessment 2011 as he was just a temporary or part-time worker.

He planned to skip the return this year as his income would not be sufficient to be subject to tax. I advised him not to do so as submission of  the return is the taxpayer's responsibility, Inland Revenue Board will decide whether he will be taxable or not. I was reluctant to go back just for this small issue since I'm getting busier now.

Before we called it a day, my mom told me that my dad was unemployed again. I feel like he wants me to graduate as soon as possible so that I can work and give him pocket money in return. Well, I also hope that I can graduate as soon as possible but I won't give him any pocket money. He is just 46 years old. He has not arrived at retirement age yet. I want him to work but definitely, I will reduce his burden by paying all the utilities bills when I start to work.

Gifted

Hi guys, yesterday was Valentine's Day. I would like to wish you all a belated happy Valentine's Day. As usual, it was the 22th single Valentine's Day to me but sometimes I was quite proud of it since some of my friends who were in a relationship complained with me about the costs suffered!

Well, our ACCA results for December 2011's sitting were published on Monday. I was not in tension and I slept so well that night before it. I just felt a bit nervous when I checked my results. Out of my expectation, I passed all. Amazing, why?

This is because I did terrible mistakes for all my papers. Even though I saw the instruction stated that we should not write anything on the left margin, I still insisted to write my question number on it. Therefore, my marker wouldn't be able to see which sub-question was I answering to. He/she just managed to see which question that I attempted.

Secondly, I wrote my answers until the right margin. There was border drawn at the bottom of every page. If I was not mistaken, it was meant to remind candidates that the scanner would just scan those inside the border, anything outside the border would not be entertained. Thus, I might lose marks on that area as the markers might perceive that  I didn't know the spelling of the words or some words were missing.

These were high profile mistakes that candidates should not make! Due to this, I was worried for few days after the examination. Ergo, I didn't pay high hope on this sitting. Luckily, God bless me. I managed to get 55 marks for P1 Governance, Risk and Ethics, 64 marks for P2 Corporate Reporting and 58 marks for P3 Business Analysis. That's why I consider myself as gifted.

Hence, I can conclude that either my standard is up to this level or I should be able to get higher marks but due to the high profile errors above, my marker did subtract a lot of marks from me because he/she got fed up with me. Nevertheless, it's over. I treat it as a lesson and I won't repeat these mistakes again in the coming examinations. No matter what the marks I should get, I know my standard, I know myself!

I called my grandpa at that night because he was so keen to know my results, he was more nervous than me. Obviously, he was pretty happy that I passed the examinations.

Unfortunately, not everyone who did their part passing the examinations. Some of my friends couldn't make it. They were the students who prepared for tutorials, always paid attention in class and studied hard. In my opinion, they were just not fortunate enough to get a pass. Maybe next sitting is their time to do it. I hope they take my words, no matter how bad or how unlucky were the results this time, we should not relinquish. We should be positive and continue to try harder and harder. They were probably using the wrong strategy.

Friends, there is no time to waste, let's face it and beat it. Let's do it together.
